I have just added a new article to WikiKin about another of my cousins, Duncan Hines.  The article is titled "Duncan Hines and His Duncan Ancestry."

As of September 28, 2015, the WikiKin genealogy contains 24,139 people reported on 11,332 web pages. Almost 1,000 more people and over 500 new pages. I'll be posting more soon.

I have just uploaded all new genealogy pages, 23,178 people on 10,822 pages.  Much of the new information added is concerning the Schlotterer family of Bodelshausen, Germany.

"Tom Slaughter, Bank Robber and Killer" is my latest article on WikiKin.  He is not kin to me, but he does have connections to northeastern NC.

I have just added an article on WikiKin.com about my second cousin, Enos Bradsher "Country" Slaughter.  He played baseball for the Cardinals and Yankees, and is in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

I have just added an article on Emily Deschanel and Her Perquimans County, NC Ancestry at http://wikikin.com/EmilyDeschanel.html.  In addition to her ancestry, I also show how she is related to both me and my wife, along with Wolfman Jack's wife and JonBenet Ramsey.  This is the first in a series of articles on celebrities and their connections to North Carolina.

I just added a new Articles page to WikiKin.  I also added the first article, "The Slaughters of Culpeper."  I wrote it back in 1991 based on research I did back in 1971 or 1972.

More website work

Today I completed the first draft of my links page.  It includes some of my favorite genealogy sites, plus some sites that are just interesting.  It took most of yesterday to check out the links to make sure they still work.  Because they are interesting, I spent some time just reading on some of the sites.

Yesterday I submitted WikiKin to Cyndi's List so that more people will hear of my site.

I am starting off 2015 with a new website, WikiKin, and a blog to accompany it.  I will be posting news of additions and changes to the website.  WikiKin is starting with an initial database of nearly 20,000 names.  More will be added.  I will try to answer any questions about how to do genealogy research and specific questions about families covered in the database.
